Portlandia

On Saturday the 4 of us drove to Aurora, Oregon (it's about 14 miles south of Portland) to attend Brian Johnson's wedding. Brian is Nate's cousin on his mom's side. Brian married Alea a sweet, beautiful, young lady. Brian's parents are Bob and Pat Johnson (Pat is Nate's mom's sister), they are a great family. Very supportive of Mark and I and the boys. They treat us like family. Brian and his brother (Drew) still call Mark, Uncle Mark. Pat cried when she hugged Mark at the wedding. They are just a special family to us.

I didn't take great pictures at the wedding. Actually I took some very odd pictures. Not sure what I was thinking. Maybe I wasn't.

Happy Brothers, glad to be at the wedding, where nobody (really nobody) was their age, setting in the direct 90 degree sunshine.

The parentals.

The wedding was at Langdon Farms Golf Course. Very cool place. After the wedding ceremony (while bride and groom had pictures) you could go to the driving range and hit golf balls and drink beer, there was a keg of Coors light. It was fun. Hot wedding guest, drinking cold beer, in the sunshine, on empty stomachs, swinging golf clubs. No. . .it' wasn't that bad.

This is the only picture I have of Alea. She is beautiful.

This is Brian. He is handsome.

Brian is a firefighter. These are his co-workers. They wanted to dress up and be casual at the same time. I think they nailed it.

Mark and Henry (he is Bob - father of groom- co-worker). Henry is one of the funniest people I have ever met.

We spent the night at cousin Marc and Andea Wildfangs house in Portland. They were not home so we just crashed at their pad. They have a sweet, cute house. We went to Village Coffee for coffee and a muffin (breakfast).

I'll explain this in person. If you want to know, ask me.

Matt and I icing our arms. Matt had his 6th grade shot on Friday and I think he had a little reaction because it was red, puffy and swollen where the shot was given.

Never mind the ice packs look at my Basil - isn't it gorgeous!

1 Handed

So. . . . .I've done something to my right shoulder. I thought it was a rotator cuff injury at first. As the swelling started to go down I then thought it might be a tear in my anterior deltoid. Today I just looked at it and now I'm wondering why it looks like my bicep muscle detached itself from the shoulder and is now hanging out down by my elbow. Seriously, there is a big deformed lump at the lower end of my forearm.

But the pain is in my shoulder. And it HURTS!!! Maybe I should try applying a wet wash cloth.

I think I've consumed a Costco size jar of Advil. I'm using a sling.

So what did I do: Long story short. I injured it (obviously) and then instead of taking it easy I continued to live my extremely active lifestyle and made it much worse.

Did you know that we do just about everything with both arms/hands. OMGoodness HELP! ! ! !

I LOVE Eltopia

Hit snow on the top of Chinook. Not on the road. At the top of the pass. The water you see is Lake Tipsoo, still half covered in snow.

Matt and Grammy playing hours of football catch. Matt is always coaching Grammy to become a better player. He says she's doing "really good".

Grammy & Grandpa took us to Veritas in Kennewick for lunch on Friday. Their friend Kathy Hanson grows a lot of the produce that Chef Derrin and Marcus use to create amazing dishes. Would highly recommend it!

Nice picture of the 3 of them and Luke being super cooperative. At age 3 he would have been great for a picture. At age 13 not so much, who woulda thunk.

On our way home we went by Harris Farms, very cool, old, run down produce farm with killer produce. Highly recommend this stop as well. I don't know if it's because I'm use to west side prices but I swear they give their produce away it's so cheap.

Picking out the goods.

Now this is summer vacation.

Nothing says "summer" more than this. Makes we want to go home and have toast with cinnamon sugar and watch Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island.

Gramps grilling up some Friday night dinner.

Went to my BBF's house on Friday night for a Bon Fire. I invited myself over for this event, only with a BFF can you do this. And I brought my mom, dad, and boys. So I took my camera expecting to take pictures of kids and her projects and stuff and the only picture I took was of the train that we had to wait for to get to her house. But how much more Eltopia can ya get???? Waiting for a train at the tracks, 80 some degree weather at 8 o'clock at night. Perfect!

Wheat harvest going on right behind mom and dad's house. They do things way differently then what I am use to. Such a big production.

Grandpa took the boys golfing on Sunday afternoon.
