stuff

My Girls; Sawyer in the top picture and Emery in lower picture. We went to Eltopia for Easter. First time I've spent Easter with my mom and dad since I've been married. It was a quick trip. My blog is acting funny so you are going to get 2 blogs with Easter pictures.

Saturday Matt had a baseball game and a lax game at the same time. He choose b-ball. This is Levi, he is a younger brother of one of the players. I love Levi he is a hoot!!! ta boot!! The kid cracks me up! He entertained himself for about an hour in this dirt pile.

Matt got a cleat to the shin. Ouch - it was a great bruise that he got a lot of attention from his grandma on Sunday. He loved the attention. He's icing his leg in this pic.

He was the starting pitcher. They won 9-8. I think that was the score. Lucas had a lax game in Seattle. Mark got the lax game I got the b-ball game. So Luke got no pictures taken, but his team won 13-2 or something like that. I can't remember - that was like 5 days ago!

Party Like An 11 Year Old

Matt had 6 friend over tonight. They were dropped off by their parents at Total Sports where they played dodge ball, football and wiffle ball. Mark and Eric (our employee who the boys think is the coolest thing since sliced bread) drove the boys to the house for pizza, pop, cake and ice cream. Now they are outside playing flashlight tag. They are all spending the night and 6 of the 7 have baseball games tomorrow. Hope they get some sleep. Here they are:

Luke, Matt, Blake, Michael, Adrian, Eric and Beau. I love each one of these boys, I would take anyone of them on any given day if their parents ever kicked them out.

Cheezzzzzz

They all belted out "Happy Birthday" it was great. Wish I would have video taped it.

Still signing. . . .
Blowing out all 11.

Opening the cards/gifts.

This is my favorite picture of the week. Believe me I had to work VERY hard at getting it. My widdle wucus. Isn't he handsome.

Lax Pictures

Some of the parents on both the boys lax teams have really nice cameras and they are always taking pictures. They will either give us disks of the pictures or send them to us via eamil. Here are a few of the pictures.

My widdle wuke!
Matt runnin off the field.

Matt on an inbounds throw.

Sweet Ben with his hand on Matt's shoulder. Both Ben and Matt are not sweet on the field when they are tough lax players but I think off the field they both have a huge big ewy goowy sweet soft heart.

Weekend

I put all the pictures in backwards in the time frame that they happened. Sorry I always seem to day that. Saturday was "Rally Day" for the Lake Tapps Lacrosse Club. There were 13 games played on 2 fields starting at 9 in the morning and going till 9 at night. Total Sports (our business) had a booth. We did alright I think. Here Mark is workin the booth. It would be busy and then there would be nobody. I took advantage of the slow time to snap a few pictures. I missed a lot of Luke's game b/c I was working the booth. They won 16-2 I think that was the final score. I didn't get to take a picture of the final.
This is the score of Matt's game. Matt had spectators.
Nice cleavage Pax.
Jennifer, Kyle, Paxton, Ryan Heinen (Pax boyfriend) and Kate Hawk (Pax friend) spent the night on Friday. You'll see why below.

My BFF and her honey! Saturday morning I had to work at the store for an hour. I left Paxton in charge of making sure the boys had all their gear in their bags for their lax games. Jennifer took this picture, I love it! I wish they lived closer. I miss family!

Yeah Whooooooo!!! The mighty Connell Eagles softball team played at the Husky stadium on Friday night. I went and watched. What a awesome venue to play at. They lost 5-4 but it was a great game. Fast pitch is so much different than slow pitch. Glad I was able to go watch.

Briar's Birthday

Happy Birthday Briar! I'm thinking this must be #19 for ya!

Friday Mark and I celebrated our 16th Anniversary (wait a minute. . . . I just realized that meant Briar was not with his parents on his 3rd b-day because his mommy was my maid of honor and Briar wasn't there - now I feel horrible).

Here we are today.
Here we are 16 years ago!

Horses

Matt was suppose to have a baseball game tonight but . . . . take a wild guess . . . . yep! cancelled due to rain. It's actually not raining right at the moment, it's quite pleasant really. But the rain, sleet, hail, snow that happened earlier today didn't help the conditions of the field any. Record: 1 Win, 0 losses, 6 rain outs. And why do we start baseball over here in April? That is a good question.

So the Govt might shut down for a day or two. Interesting. Why do they not just start laying people off like corporate America does when you can't balance the budget? This may or may not affect my contract, I'll find out on Friday. I am our families one source of income that is currently steady and it might get shut off. . . great! I'm thinking of that poem Jennifer just posted on her blog, it goes something like; 'to own something you have to let go of everything'. I'll keep you posted.

I received a letter in the mail the other day from Ed Poe Insurance agency. Who sends mail in the actually mail box these days? I laughed. So I called Bob. Whenever I call I always say 'hi' with; "hay sexy", I think he loves it. So I asked him why he sends mail, with a stamp, he says he's old and loves to talk to people. That's true. We had a nice visit. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I love the web-site; Pioneer Woman, I think it's because of that whole "I miss Eltopia" thing. She's funny, she talks about cooking, her farm/ranch life, kids, gardening and photography. She had a photography contest with pictures of horses. Some of you might know that I'm terrified of horses (and maybe have even witnessed some of that fear). Anyways, I do think horses are beautiful (from afar) and some of the pictures she posted were gorgeous. But I love this picture.

Because she makes it look so fun and stess free. . . . . . . and it's really not!

Peace Out!

Spring Break 2011; OVER

A few signs around the house that spring break is over.
The backpack. The lunch
The 'happy' faces.
Lucas' swollen ankle. It's hard to see, but it really is swollen. Ouch!
Boone and I after my 14 miler on Sunday morning, that included 7- one mile pick ups. Felt GREAT! No, Boone did not go with me on the run, I'm not that nuts.

Can You Say "Technical Foul"

We had 2 Lacrosse games on Bainbridge Island, Matt's at 11 am and Lucas at 1 pm. This was our drive there. The "I'm gunna kick some booty" look.
Drivin by the T-dome.
Downtown Tacoma.
Of course!
Narrows Bridge.
Bremerton Ship Yard full of aircraft carriers.
Quick hurry take a picture. This is the most we've seen of each other in days. Look; we have on our SUN glasses, and mark already has on his game face, can ya see it?
Luke and I.
Matt in the penalty box; 30 second slash.
Final score; 16 - 3 Lake Tapps!!!! Matt had 1 goal and several assists. Good game.
Luke playing tough at attach.
Luke going down, he heard his ankle pop. He's been having ankle/heel issues all week.
Coach Derrik and Mark helping him off the field.
Ouch (I think Luke is bigger than his dad)

Ref in the white shorts gave Coach Mark a Technical Foul. When a coach gets the technical the first "attack" player listed on the roster in the books has to take a 1 minute 30 second in the penalty box. That was Luke who was on the sidelines with a twisted ankle. So Luke gets a penalty without even being in the game. Thanks Coach!!

Lost this one 4-7.
