Monday

First time I have ever bought cookies that were pre-mixed and molded. All I had to do was bake them. What a cheater I am.
It's snowing at our house right now (monday afternoon about 3:30)

It's almost baseball season. Matt had try-outs on Saturday.

Not Much

My DSL has been out since late Thursday night. I don't like not having access to my email, facebook and blog. It came back on today - thank goodness - i was feeling a little disconnected from the world. Our phone line has been out since Thursday afternoon and is still out. Apparently it's due to all the flooding and wet weather we are having. Our house did not flood but many puddles and lots of extra water hanging around so I can see where water could affect the phone lines - I guess. I know of 3 neighbors who's phones are out too. With all the people over here whose houses have flooded I really don't want to make a big stink about my phone line being out for a few days. I called Qwest and they are supose to fix it by the 14th of Jan.

Did my annual body fat testing last night at Fleet Feet (a local running store) for memebers of their Marathon Training group. It's a program they offer to anyone intersted in training and running/jogging/walking a marathon. Last night was the big kick-off party where they receive their t-shirts, 16 week individualized programs and they can have their body fat tested if they choose to. I am going to be a coach for the program too. I can hardly wait - I'm very excited.

After that I went out with some friends to celebrate a birthday.

I took no pictures this week. But I feel like I need to include something. I'll scroll through and see what I can find to attach to this post. I'm not sure if it will appear at the top middle or end of the post - lets see!

Not going to happen. It's taking way to long to upload a photo. I think my DSL is still not 100%. Everything is running verrrrryy sloooooowwww... uuugggggggg

Christmas Break

Does Santa look familier?

Bellingham had 3 feet of snow
Lucas' new camo hat

I know I'm going to get a little friendly reminder from my dear freind Jen if I don't post something real soon =)

School started up again today. The kids have been out of school for 19 days. 16 of those days were scheduled break. They had 3 extra snow days tapped on prior to break starting. It was snowing when they went to bed so they were "for sure" school would be cancelled. Well they woke up to 40 degree weather and it had rained all night. oops not much snow on the ground after that. They were bummed you could say.

We went skiing on Friday with Rob, Trina, Ellie, Bobby and the 5 of us. It was knee deep in powder. Not being a real ski bunny I didn't realize these are the conditions all the skiiers want. It was fun and a beautiful day, cold though!

Cookies

The little Baker

The "Cookie"

The finished product

I spent most of the day in the kitchen preparing for our Chirstmas dinner with Jeff and Becki, her parents and brother (Phil, Linda and John) and mom and dad. I don't think it's going to happen (the dinner) the roads are horriable here today and the pass is closed. So the 5 of us will have a real nice dinner tonight. wink* While I was busy in the kitchen Lucas wanted to help. So I put him to work making cookies. He did did a real nice job I must say.
Getting ready to watch the Hawks play this morning. Our church called last night and cancelled Sunday service. We are going to stay hunkered down and maybe go sledding later on.

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

Luke, Justin, William and Cody

Well. . . . I got a suddle, friendly, little reminder from Jen today that my last post was on Dec. 1st. Hahaha thanks - I've been introduced to Facebook and have been posting pictures and what not on that and have completely neglected my blog. Jesse and I are the only people from our class who I've been connected to on Facebook. Where in the hell are the rest of you '87 CHS Eagles???

Let's see it's been snowing and cold here the last couple of days. The kids had no school Wednesday, Thursday (today) and school is already cancelled for tomorrow. In other words we started our Christmas vacation 3 days early. The boys are thrilled (they won't be when we are still in school until June15). and played in the snow all day. They both had friends come over. I went and picked up the friends. Our hill is to hairly scare if you don't have 4 wheel drive I don't advise people to come down. Or you end up like every other dig bat in the ditch or smashed into the side rail who tried to make it up. . . . Mark actually parked the truck at the top (a lot of people do this) of the hill so we have at least one vehicle available. I should be able to get my Yukon up in the morning but it was a bit slippy sliddy coming home tonight after dropping off the friends.

I'm not ready for Christmas yet, at all, and now the kids are out of school. I would be happy just celebrating without gifts. I think that is why I love Thanksgiving so much. The family gets together eats, drinks and has a great time and no gift giving, no going out spending money we don't have on gifts I'm not sure if people will really like. I still have a hard time with why we buy gifts to celebrate the birth of Jesus. I just want to celebrate this most precious and special birth with out the gifts. Bah hum bug I'm the Christmas Scrooge.
Peace Out!
